This is documented near the end of the user guide. The first thing I did was to maximize the gain through the system. When I set up for a gig I start with the reference Post PEQ and run AutoEQ then I can see what the room is doing and make adjustments accordingly-this was suggested on the DR users group.Īctually, that was the second thing. The first thing I did with it was to set up outdoors and create a reference EQ for my speakers, which I then transferred to the Post PEQ. I've had no problems getting it set up and I've been very happy with the results. I did study the manual, play with Driveware, and generally learn more about the various processors included before the unit arrived. I'm a novice who has had a 260 for two weeks (bought mine the same place you did) and have used it for two gigs so far. I don't recommend this device for everyone though(especially the novice), as the level of adjustment can be overwhelming, and some knowledge & expertise is definitely needed to setup correctly. Mmusicman wrote on Sun, 19 June 2005 23:56 I'm not sure which crossover format to use yet, but it'll be fun learning. I work in alot of different situations, and will utilized it's flexibility quite a bit. The standard DBX Driverack may be all that many people will need, but when I used the computer interface, I was glad I went for the 260. The many pre-sets were useless to me, but the wizard was easy, & ability to save numerous custom settings is great, even better that un-limited setups can be stored on the computer, and punched up at any time. I don't recommend this device for everyone though(especially the novice), as the level of adjustment can be overwhelming, and some knowledge & expertise is definitely needed to setup correctly. It is VERY flexible, and quality is 100%! I intend to implement some wireless technology to operate remotely. While there might be more bells & whistles then some may typically ever need, the computer interface makes it SO easy to use. Compressors, limiters, filters, GEQ, PEQ, auto gain control, synthesizer, mixed gain in/outs, multichannels, several audio phase & delays, & a huge variety of crossover types & combinations. What an awesome machine! I've spend many hours learning & playing with all the settings, and I still haven't got to them all.
